I have raised my kids for half their childhoods with out a man in my life. I have always done for myself. My Mom and I did all the landscaping and installed the fencing around the property and are constantly doing new projects all around the house. Until recently i did all my own oil changes and tune ups. I have replaced the front axles, slave cylinder, and rebuilt my carburetor from the tiniest screws up on my old pick up truck.

The kids and I were adventurers. We converted an old school bus to an RV and traveled with the rainbows for a summer. We have criss-crossed this country several times and have been everywhere except the East Coast. We frequented theme parks, zoo's, caves and national parks as well as just seeing the golden fields of wheat that seemed to stretch for hundreds of miles across the mid-west and the wide expanse of nothing that they call Texas.

Now that all the kids are grown I am alone for the first time in my life. Learning how to live alone is a new thing but I am liking it.
